Hello, I'm Sarah Vanstone-Howe. This blog is about family life and adventures with my four children: Mole, Hedgehog, Beaver and Otter. These pseudonyms were devised when they were born. The first two were inspired by their cute and furry new born heads, while the last two were water births, so something semi-aquatic seemed apt. 

 

I currently divide my time between freelance writing and teaching.

In a previous life I worked in science publishing as an editor and in luxury travel as a consultant. My work and travels have taken me to India, Thailand, North and Central America, Europe and Morocco.

I live in Bedfordshire with my husband, four children and various animals.
